नामपल्ली

१६७० ई में निज़ाम राज्य के दिवान थे रज़ा अली ख़ान जिनको "नेक नाम ख़ान" की उपाधी दी गई थी। निज़ाम द्वारा उनको दी गई जागीर "नेक-नाम पल्ली" नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुई। धीरे-धीरे यह नामपल्ली के प्रचलित हुई। हैदराबाद रेलवे स्टेशन इसी मुहल्ले में स्थित है। नामपल्ली स्टेशन से कुछ ही दूर पर बाग़-ए-आम है जो अब "Public Gardens" के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। मुअज़म जाही मार्केट से नामपल्ली के बीज आता है नुमाइश मैदान और कुछ ही दूरी पर है गाँधी भवन। आगे एक-मिनार मस्जिद और नामपल्ली दरगाह है।

बाग़ों का शहर - हैदराबाद

भाग्यनगर किसी ज़माने में बाग़ों का नगर हुआ करता था। बाग़ तो अब गायब हो गए हैं किन्तु उनके नाम अभी भी रह गए हैं।
उन में से कुछ बाग़ - देवीदीन बाग़, देवी बाग़, फूलबाग़, मुरलीधरबाग़, कन्दास्वामी बाग़, इन्दर बाग़, इब्राहिम बाग़, नज़्री बाग़, ईडन बाग़, जामबाग़, बशीरबाग़, मूसारामबाग़, सीतारामबाग़, अकबरबाग़, ज़ेबाबाग़, कंचनबाग़, लालबाग़, बाग़-लिंगमपल्ली, बाग़-अंबरपेट, कुन्दनबाग़, इत्यादि-इत्यादि।
यह बाग़ तो गायब हो गए हैं, इनकी जगह concrete jungle ने ले ली है।

Northwards Expansion

The city of Hyderabad - Bhagyanagar started expanding northwards across the Musi from the 19th Century. A series of villages came up which were later amalgamated into the twin-cities, still continuing to be known by their original names. These villages were - Mallepally, Nampally, Gowliguda, Lingampally, Kachiguda, domalguda, saidabad, nallakunta, Ramkote, Malakpet, Seetarambagh, etc.
